Söngur af Hugskot Minn

How deep runs the lonesome longing in my heart
Felt for someone barely known and now apart
In a far away land of fire and ice
Upon a warm and beautiful spirit I did happen
A goddess, green-eyed and tan, wrapped only in orange
Willing to share a bit of her life with this wayward voyager
The voice of her people, tempting images of her world
Cold and ruggedly beautiful, inviting and full of life
Strangely familiar, tugging at my soul
Worlds apart, still agonizingly near
A romantic walk along the streets of her home
In the depths of winter did warm my heart
Together in spirit though many leagues apart
