Þökk að Hjartagóður Íslenzka Vinni Minn

I see where Bobby Fischer has finally arrived in Iceland to be greeted and embraced by his new countrymen. I want to thank my Icelandic friends for their compassionate gesture towards a great and deserving champion. I offer my best wishes to Mr. Fischer for a long, happy and peaceful life in this land of great beauty and warm people. I also hope that we can all put the bitterness and harsh words of the past behind us and perhaps better spend our energies looking more towards a bright and promising future. It is sad that too often we take ourselves so seriously that we deprive ourselves, and others, of the ability to enjoy a life that is all too short as it is. May we all find peace, love, and good health wherever life’s road takes us...vertu svalur
